Our Clients had a young family and wanted to reconfigure their house so it would be more suited to their needs, without constructing an extension.
We worked closely with them to develop the detailed brief. The resultant design swapped the kitchen and dining spaces and created an open courtyard that seamlessly connected with the house, giving the illusion of space without the need for an extension. Floor finishes were chosen which could be laid throughout the ground floor and into the external courtyard. The work also included a new family bathroom and landscaping.
The Client stated that they were ‘delighted with the end product which has transformed how we use the space; everyone who has seen the house before and after thought we had an extension when all we did was make better use of the space.’
Evolution undertook the design work, obtained all permissions, produced construction drawings, obtained tenders and acted as Contract Administrator during the construction period.
