Sometimes projects take some time. Evolution won a competitive fee bid in 2017 to undertake a feasibility project at the Barbican Library.

The aim is for the creation of a multi-functional, hireable community room which will enable library-organised and community-organised events to take place and is ancillary to the Barbican Library. Since the library is suspended within the main foyer of the Barbican Centre and is open sided internally, the scheme is to provide an acoustically separated room. Achieving this within the constraints of the grade II listed building has proved challenging. Evolution submitted a Listed Building Application in 2022, which has been approved. We are continuing to work with the City of London to assist with the funding bid and our level of enthusiasm for this project remains high.
