Evolution were approached by Morgan Sindall to assist them in providing an additional 1000m² of sixth form accommodation at Kings Manor College.

Since the entire college was planned to be re-built in the near future and the new 6th form facility had to be operational in 10 months, it was decided the most feasible way to meet the program and budget requirements was to construct the new accommodation from prefabricated buildings. Evolution worked with Morgan Sindall and the building fabricators to achieve all approvals and undertake detailed design to provide the following accommodation:

  • social facilities comprising kitchen, café and common room.
  • five general teaching rooms
  • two ICT rooms
  • three science labs and associated prep rooms
  • art and photography rooms
  • individual washroom facilities.
  • in addition there is dedicated external space together with a new access road for deliveries to the kitchen and emergency vehicles.
